Saint-Jean d'Alcas

Fortified village on a human scale, surprising in its harmony and regularity

T here is no doubt that this site merits a detour, nor that you will be full of admiration for it. You will be struck by the harmony that infuses the whole place. It seems always to have been spared the vicissitudes of history because an abbess watched over it! Don't be misled by appearences, the story is really quite different … take the time to listen to the story and your admiration will be multiplied tenfold.

Reception desks are closed in December and January (appart for booking).

Booking compulsory due to annual leaves.

From Easter to All Saints' Day :

Open from 10H00 to 12H00 and from 14H00 to 18H30 except on Saturday morning.

June

Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10H00 to 12H30 and from 14H00 to 18H30

July - August

Open from 10H00 to 19H30
