La Couvertoirade

Medieval village, reflecting the military power of the Templars and the every day life of the Hospitallers

La Couvertoirade is a very special place, wonderfully preserved because the medieval village which nestled at the foot of the Templar castle has been protected by the ramparts built later by the Hospitallers.

The village comes to life as soon as the first spring days arrive, offering visitors the possibility of climbing up onto the sentries' walkway, strolling through the narrow streets, or following a guided visit to learn about it in detail.

1) including the acces to the sentries' walkway (remparts) a film, an exhibition : 30 to 45 mn.
(2) The 5 € fare includes 1H comments ont he site, the acces to the sentries' walkway, a film, and an exhibition : 1H30. The 16 € fare includes comments on the 5 villages of the Larzac Templier et Hospitalier circuit. Audio-guides can be booked on any site (different languages proposed).
(3) guided visit made by a registered guide lasting 2hours including the acces to the sentries' walkway, a film, and an exhibition.
Guided visits are proposed for individuals in July and august at 11H00, 15H00 and 17H00
